bodybag is one of my favorite songs ive ever written! the chords go all over the damn place which makes it fun (if tiring) to play. when i wrote this a buncha my friends were moving to NYC post-college and i had to stay in boston, and i specifically wrote this one after my pal rae moved. the duet part is me and the very same (and very talented) rae (thank you rae!!) and we recorded this one time and then we recorded it again after i tossed all the old recordings (sorry rae but thank you again!!). they really did a bang-up job and i love how that part sounds - it might be my favorite part of the album! katie told me shes thrilled to have a shoutout in this song (and because i wrote it like 6 years before releasing it she has been waiting for ages to hear the final version to show off her stardom). you're welcome katie! and by that i mean i'm sorry it took so long lmao!
